THE ATELIER CALENDAR

We don't drop seasons. We drop generations.

Each drop is the work of one master weaver over one season. Six to fifteen pieces at a time. Once they're gone, they're gone — every saree is woven only once. Sign up to see what comes off the loom next.

Our Movement

#DontShrink

A refusal, in six lines, against shrinking craft, heritage, and self.

  1. Don't shrink the loom to fit the algorithm.
  2. Don't shrink your saree to fit a faster wardrobe.
  3. Don't shrink the weaver's hours into a sale price.
  4. Don't shrink heritage to fit a feed.
  5. Don't shrink your body to fit a saree it was never meant for.
  6. Don't shrink yourself to fit a smaller story.

Every Danyah Banaras saree spends 200 to 400 hours on the pit loom in Madanpura. Every motif is hand-graphed. Every zari thread is real silver. Every drape is pleated by hand in our Mumbai atelier.

We do not cut corners. We do not blend silk with viscose to lower a price. We do not call something Banarasi if it wasn't woven in Banaras.

This is our atelier. This is our refusal. This is our movement.

Wear it. Stand by it. Pass it on.

WHY WE DROP THIS WAY

A loom is not a factory

Every saree on this calendar is woven only once. There are no restocks because there is no warehouse — only a loom, a weaver, and the months it takes to lay one piece down thread by thread.

So when we say six pieces, we mean six. When the drop closes, the loom moves on to what comes next on this calendar.
